1. Denali National Park officials say a climber died Sunday while descending from the summit. It was the fourth death on the mountain in four days.

2. An F-15 fighter jet developed a problem Friday morning during takeoff from Eielson Air Force Base that required the pilot to abort the flight.

3. Dilapidated schools may get a big financial boost if Gov. Mike Dunleavy signs a  an education bill that could more than triple what lawmakers allocated last year.

4. A bill to increase state funding for free legal aid to economically disadvantaged Alaskans has passed into law without the governor’s signature.

5. 20 candidates are running for governor and dozens more seeking other state and federal offices. But the deadline to run for statewide office is 5 p.m. today

6.  Dillingham independent Bryce Edgmon, the most senior member of the state House, is running to represent southwest Alaska as a state Senator.
